I’ve owned Norelco shavers for decades. This is by far the most comfortable close shave of them all. The pressure lighting system is helpful by letting you know that you are applying the appropriate pressure to the head assembly for a close non-irritating shave. The UV treatment of the head assembly no doubt helps keep that assembly clear of bacteria and viruses. To me it is well worth the money.

Great razor! Doesn’t hold charge as long as previous models but plenty for multiple shaves before needing to be charged again. Honestly could do without the Bluetooth enabled features and associated app. I feel they don’t add any value, and drain the battery faster.

Norelco has done a fantastic job with the quality of this product. It provides a really nice shave experience especially if you have sensitive skin. The AI integration with the app gives excellent feedback about your shaving patterns. I now know that most of my skin irritation came from the amount of pressure placed against the skin. This shaver lets you know when you are pressing to hard and gives you the same shaving closeness. My last Norelco shaver was 15-20 years old, so the quality is unmatched.

I have owned two previous Philips Norelco shavers over the years: a 9000 from several years ago and a 6000. This model gives the closest shave and feels the smoothest and most “satisfying” both during and after shaving. The light indicators are surprisingly helpful, at least at the beginning. It turns out I was probably shaving with too little pressure in the past.
Problem areas I had with previous shavers due to the large shaving heads—such as getting hairs right under the nose—seem to have been alleviated somewhat.
The one feature I wish this shaver had kept from previous models is the flip-out long-hair cutter. When I don’t shave for several days, the shaver has trouble catching all the longer hairs. With previous models, I could quickly trim those areas using the built-in long-hair cutter and then go over them again with the shaver, which solved the issue. Now, I have to use a separate long-hair cutter that comes with the shaver and must be attached separately. I really miss the flip-out long-hair cutter that was always available.

I bought this razor for my husband for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. He said it gives him the closes shave he has ever had and he has had a lot of different razors. Lot’s of good things to say about this shaver. Well built, close shave, useful accessories. Prior to this purchase I had tried the 8000 series…which is similar, but doesn’t shave as smoothly or closely. The included dual purpose charging station and shaver box is nice but not really necessary…if you want to save a few bucks you can get a kit without it and just charge it using the stand. Only thing I don’t like quite as much on this shaver is the lack of a pop up trimmer. It comes as an accessory and is easy to install…and the quality is better than the pop-up…but it’s one more thing to keep track of and having it integrated into the shaver is my preference.
