    Pros: It makes ice very quickly. It is compact. Reasonably priced.
    Cons: The ice cubes have a hole in them, so it is actually less ice. The set-up instructions are not very clear on the initial cleaning. It is a little noisy.

    So to get 22 lbs a day of ice you’d need to empty the small basket 24 times a day, refill the water manually 12x per day, then have some way to keep the accumulated amount of ice from melting until the next batch is done 1/2 hour later. Really is good for one thing only, that countertop drink ice. Any other use, you may not find nice. The “add water” light on mine no longer works. But I like the unit, just wish I’d have sprung for the $200 one.

    It’s quiter than I expected and makes a pretty decent amount of ice fairly quickly. The only downside is that the ice is a bit “wet” when it is ejected. I’m pretty sure it needs to be in order to release from the mold and eject, but it does freeze together lightly when put into a storage vontainer in the fridge. Overall a very good machine, though.

    It’s a great little ice maker. I like the cone-ish shape that they are and it makes more than enough for our family of 3. Only negative is the ice falls in a way that tells the sensor it’s full before it actually is, but it definitely wouldn’t be a dealbreaker if we’d known that prior.
