    The Total Gym Xtreme is a Great Workout Machine.
    First, a little bit about me: I’m 66 years old and weigh 163 lbs. and am 5’ 7” tall. I have been working out at a “real” gym for 12 years. I bought this total Gym so I can work out at home while my “real” gym is closed due to the coronavirus.
    The Total Gym Xtreme is a good workout machine for the person who wants build strength and stay in shape. If you are a serious body builder who lifts heavy weights, then this particular model will probably not satisfy your needs. (You my do better with the GTS model).
    Assembly and set-up was easy. Instructions were easy to follow. It comes with several accessories which are easy to attach and remove during workouts.
    This machine folds in half for storage. But I don’t fold and store. I just leave it set-up in my family room.
    The machine is sturdy and stable and does not bow or bend under my weight. User weight limit is 350 lbs.
    This model has 12 levels of resistance. The machine uses your body weight as resistance. It comes with a chart that cross-references body weight and resistance levels to indicate the approximate weight lifted.
    The glide board is just long enough for me. For some exercises, you lie on your back with your legs bent and feet on the edge of the glide board. If you are a tall person, then you may not have room to place your feet on the glide board.
    You can do a complete body workout on this machine including hips. The only exercise that I do not do on this machine are 2-legged squats. Even at level 12 squats are too easy to do. So I only do 1-leg squats on the machine.
    It comes with an exercise guide and a stack of training cards with plenty of instructions and a variety of different workout programs to follow from beginner to advanced. It also comes with two workout DVDs and a Nutrition Guide. There are exercises that cover every part of your body.
    At first I felt a little awkward using the machine, but it didn’t take long to get used to it and now I feel comfortable with it.
    I have been using this machine for over a month now and have had no mechanical problems with it. I am very satisfied with the workouts and the fitness benefits that I get from this machine.
