Makes ice cream as advertised, however the plastic lid will not stay on after the drum has been in the freezer, I need to tape it on until the ice cream has been churning a bit. Minor inconvenience

I have a high standard for ice cream, and I can confirm that I can make ice cream that meets that standard with this machine 😁. And better yet, it’s super easy and fast! I’ve been pretty impressed. Here are the specifics:
* It’s more about the recipe. Not every recipe will work with this machine. I use a thick custard-based vanilla with lots of egg yolks and it comes out super creamy and perfectly smooth (not a hint of ice crystals), but I tried a gelato recipe that was not as thick to begin with and it came out icy.
* It’s a little hard to get all the ice cream out of the drum. I hate wasting ice cream and I end up spending a good number of minutes scraping bits out of the crevices of the paddle and off the bottom of the drum, which is annoying. The amount that’s stuck is actually pretty significant – like almost a bowl’s worth.
* It’s a little noisy, but I’m ok with that
* On mine, something seems a little off in the manufacture… The drum is a little off center and it makes a rhythmic noise as it churns. Seems to work fine, though, so not a deal breaker.
All in all, while it’s not perfect, I’m pretty pleased 😋.

It worked but always leaves a solid frozen wall on the inside that I’m unable to scrape off. So I always loose a couple of ounces of ice cream. I wouldn’t buy if I had to choose again. I can get the same results with an electric hand mixer, steel bowl and freezer.

The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star, is because the lack of information. When making ice cream.There is no information on after the 25 minutes if you’re supposed to stop the machine, or let it continue running for another 30 minutes till it stops. Also there are no recipes.
I did find online that it supposedly comes with a recipe book, and that you can turn it off after the 25 minutes.
Other than that it works great!

I bought this to replace my trusted ninja creami that died. This is a great replacement and nice to be able to make what I what without having to plan ahead. The bowl still needs to be frozen for a day but not the ingredients. The process is super fast and have been extremely satisfied.
